ARRL Field Day is June 28 2:00 P.M. – June 29th 5:00 P.M. EST. Wayne Amateur Radio Club will be operating from the Com Center, which is open to the public to attend. You do not have to have a license to operate with us at the Com Center. We will have licensed amateur radio operators there to act as control operators and allow someone interested to make contacts with other stations, and learn about amateur radio.
Some of our usual, dedicated, operators are unable to make it to field day this year. If you want to operate, we will have plenty of room and time for you! We will also need some help setting up this year so if you show up around 11 am, we will put you to work!
If you are unable to attend our field day, but are operating from home, you can contribute to the aggregate club score. To do so, when submitting your log, select Wayne Amateur Radio Club. The clubs operation score will be added to anyone’s personal scores that were unable to attend field day and printed under the ARRL aggregate club score sections. (We prefer to see you at our operation!)

What is Field Day?
Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 31,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.
