Field Day June 24-25

ARRL Field Day is June 24 2:00 P.M. – June 25th 5:00 P.M. EST. Wayne Amateur Radio Club will be operating from the Com Center, which is open to the public to attend. You do not have to have a license to operate with us at the Com Center. We will have licensed amateur radio operators there to act as control operators and allow someone interested to make contacts with other stations, and learn about amateur radio.

What is Field Day?

~From the ARRL Website

Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.”
