The Ohio VHF simplex contest is a six-hour contest to inspire amateurs around Ohio to operate FM simplex to simulate repeater-less emergency communications. The contest will take place on January 14, 2023 from 10am to 4pm. Setup will take place prior to the event. Event rules can be found here.
Wayne Amateur Radio Club will be participating in the Ohio VHF simplex contest. WARC will operate from the comm center at the intersection of Burbank and Oldman roads in Wooster. We will be operating as an EOC (Emergency Operations Center) on 220, 440, 2 meters and 6 meters. We are in need of a good 6 meter vertical antenna. If you have one the club could borrow for the day, please let us know.
